I’ve been slowly working on my series about Triple Threat Couponing, which is a specific method I use when I shop that lets me save up to three times as much! I use three different types of coupons together in a specific way to save as much as possible.
The three types of coupons that I use and have been sharing about are:
- paper coupons
- electronic coupons
- mobile coupons
Here is an example of how you do this:
If you are in the market for some shampoo or conditioner, Pantene currently presents a perfect Triple Threat Couponing opportunity!
First, grab your paper coupon from a recent P&G insert or print one from Coupons.com:
Next, head over to SavingStar and activate the Olay, Venus & Pantene “One or Many” electronic coupon:
If you aren’t very familiar with SavingStar, click here to read more about how SavingStar works. You link your store’s loyalty card, activate their eCoupons and then you get cash back when you buy the items. Most of their eCoupons are one-use coupons, but they also have some like this Pantene offer that are One or Many offers, which means you work on them over time and over multiple shopping trips. Read more about One or Many offers here.
After that you’re ready to turn this thing into a real Triple Threat by grabbing your mobile coupon!
Now, I must pause and say that going into this series my preferred mobile coupon app was ibotta. In the last week or so I have been playing with another mobile app called Endorse, and it is just as nice at serving up mobile coupons. I have an overview planned soon, but for this particular scenario you might want to go ahead and grab the Endorse app and just play around. It’s pretty easy to use!
It’s also helpful to know that you can use both ibotta and Endorse at the same time! They both function much the same and let you accumulate cash back from the items you buy!
So, back to grabbing the third coupon for this Triple Threat Couponing deal…
Endorse has a great mobile coupon that actually works for ANY shampoo, so it will work for our Pantene case study!
You’ll notice with Endorse that you don’t get a set dollar amount back like you do with ibotta, but rather a percentage of your purchase. Some offers can be “upgraded” when you share them to Facebook, but this one is a 10% cash back savings. Notice that the limit is $2.50. You can buy multiple bottles of any shampoo, Pantene included, to get that dollar amount increased. Be sure to always read the fine print on these (and any) coupons, because this one says limit of 10 items and all must be on the same receipt. This will work PERFECTLY with the SavingStar One or Many eCoupon, and you can print each of those two Coupons.com Pantene coupons twice…plus snag some from recent inserts.
To make this Triple Threat Couponing experience even better, try finding a store with an awesome sale on Pantene and go shopping!
If it were me, I would take as many paper coupons as I had, and try to complete the whole SavingStar One or Many which should also max out my 10% cash back from Endorse. If you can do this at a store with their own rewards system like Walgreens Balance Rewards or CVS Extra Care Bucks, then it’s an even sweeter deal!
What do you think? Pretty easy, huh?
Keep watching for my overview article about the Endorse app and the rest of my Triple Threat Couponing series.
Saving is good, but when you can save three times as much…it’s even better!
