Walk with Walgreens: earn coupons by walking!

Walgreens has launched a new program called Walk with Walgreens that encourages participants to take walks and then log those walks on their website as part of a new reward program.

Walk with Walgreens members can earn rewards such as coupons!

From the Walk with Walgreens website:

Walk with Walgreens is a program that rewards you simply for walking. It will help you track your progress, have fun and achieve some goals along the way.

Our goal is simple: to get more of us walking more steps, in more places than ever before. Why? Because walking is the most fundamental exercise there is. And making it an important part of your daily lifestyle can have a major impact on your health, happiness and even the environment.

Just set a goal, then log your daily steps here. In no time at all, you’ll be receiving rewards and coupons from our partners for doing what you already do. Next, get inspired by others’ walks, photos, videos—and then share your own.

And they also posted this note about their Rewards:

Do simple things like walk and log your steps, hit your goals, or just comment on other walkers’ posts and you’ll be rewarded with coupons, offers and exclusive surprises from great partners like Dasani®, Sprite Zero®, Degree®, Lipton®, Pond’s®, Vaseline®, Caress®, Bayer®, Aleve®, Citracal®, One a Day®, Omron®, Planters®, Neutrogena®, Wrigley Extra® , Famous Footwear®, and Lifetime Fitness®

And make sure you log every step, every day because it could turn out to be extra rewarding. Each week we will randomly select four members who have uploaded walks to the site and award them each a $100 Walgreens gift card—redeemable for just about anything in-store.

So, what do you think? I love points and reward programs from companies and stores, and I am always looking for ways to encourage myself to do physical activity. This might be a nifty program!
