I signed up for your emails. I am new to couponing and want to learn as much as possible since my hunsband and I have decided its more benificial for me to be a stay at home mom with our 1, 3, and 5yr old. I am excited but nervous and want to do my part to help save money around the house.

If you ever have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask! I work part-time right now, to finish paying for our adoption expenses, but I plan to quit this coming June…couponing has helped me do that!

This Thanksgiving will be special! Mom had a big scare in June. She had emergency major surgery and spent 1 month in the hospital and at the rehabilitation center. I am glad she finally came home :D Now I am her caregiver. She has a long recovery ahead of her but is looking forward to this Thanksgiving. This year Everybody is coming home! We will split the family up between 3 local family members’ homes. It will be a blast :D I can’t wait! We will have the traditonal Thanksgiving Fish (sorry that was a reference from ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ :P ) The meal and visit will be traditional and huge :D

I am sorry to hear about your Mom, but glad to know she’s getting better! It sounds like this year will be a GREAT Thanksgiving for your family, with a lot to be thankful for!!

Yes there is much to be thankful for this year! I have been unemployed since May ’09 and only discovered couponing in April ’11. Before coupons, we almost lost our home, but now I am well-stocked and lots of food for everybody and the mortgage is up-to-date. Thanks to pages like yours that educate us on how to properly provide for our families :D Thank you for all you do!!

I am doing the dinner this year, but I am incorporating my Puerto Rican roots with American traditions. Instead of the “normal” stuffing, I’m using mofongo as stuffing, a typical Puerto Rican dish made from green plantains and garlic mashed up. My dessert will be flan and/or majarete.

I think that’s awesome that you celebrate your heritage through your meal planning! The mofongo sounds yummy! I love garlic, but aren’t plantains sweet?

Just ‘liked’ you on FB thanks to Slop Swap/Dawn! Thanksgiving will be low key this year for us, saving money by staying home. Our new baby will be 5 months, are son will be almost 3 years old! It will be great to have a quiet family day!

We are planning to take a 8 hr road trip to see my family. it would be the first holiday I would spend with my family over the 8 yrs I have been with my husband. Plus my children ages, 5,4,2 will be joining me and my husband. This will be an eventful trip. :) while I’m there I’m going to teach my siblings how to coupon. I’m really excited!

For thanksgiving I always make dinner and we plan on spending time with our church family, friends and family. I am especially going to enjoy spending time with my two new nephews, snuggling and cuddling and spoiling them.
