I’ve been posting recently about Couponing for Good, and as one way to encourage you to use coupons to shop and give back to your community this month, I am hosting a giveaway!
All You magazine is the March sponsor for Champions for Kids, and I’m part of a group of bloggers helping get the word out about how you can make your donations do more good by using coupons when you shop.

The concept for this giveaway is simple:
Go on a shopping trip to buy items to donate to a charity that is local to your community, and use coupons. I have challenged my city (Terre Haute, IN) to donate to Ryves Youth Center at Etling Hall. If you aren’t sure where you can donate in your city, click here to find some places.
After you have shopped, leave a comment on this post telling me the following:
- Your city and state
- The store you shopped at
- How much you saved with your coupons (feel free to give us a break down of what you bought and the coupons you use, if you’d like – it might give other people ideas!)
- Where you plan to donate the items.
There is no set dollar amount. I just want us to collectively work to share examples of how using coupons can help make your donations bigger and better…and that’s good for everyone: you, your pocketbook, and your chosen charity!
If you want to earn an extra entry, send me a picture of what you bought and I’ll post it in an album on Facebook! Email the picture and the information for normal entries to me at charity AT couponsnob.net.
Prizes:
- $10 Walmart gift card
- $5 Amazon gift card
- 6 month subscription to All You magazine
These prizes have been donated by me so they aren’t grand (that’s not the point, right??), but I’d love to give them to someone who has a passion for giving back to their community. Someone that makes that passion bigger and more evident through their coupon use.
You can enter all month long, until midnight March 31st. Winners will be notified by email! U.S. only, please.
Leave your comments and you’re entered! Send a picture, and you’re double entered!
I can’t wait to see what you all can do for your communities when you put your coupons to good use!
#CBias #AllYouCFK - I am thrilled to be able to participate in this campaign, and hope you will join me in my efforts to raise awareness of the Champions for Kids SIMPLE service projects! Eventually I will post about a shopping trip that will be compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias. All other posts regarding “couponing for good” are NOT compensated unless otherwise noted.

Well I went to Kroger and bought 18 cans of dog food. Each one were 1.00 each and I had 18 1.50 off coupons. Yes I used the overeage to feed my child and husband, but the dog food all went to the local food bank. When I got there the lady was kinda scared when I asked her if they took Dog Food. I told her that I know if you cant feed your self most likely you cant feed the dog either, right? I always give to this place. We get WIC and my daughter doesnt drink the juices that it pays for so I get them and give them to the same food bank. I also was able to buy soap andToothpaste with coupons and have donated those as well.
I couponed for good at Walmart in Orlando, FL. I bought baby food $.50 each with a coupon for $1 off 3 – making in $.50 for 3 jars of baby food. And rice cereal $1.50 – $1 coupon = $.50. I also bought wipes that were just $.02 per wipe after coupon and sale price and lots of Walmart brand items that would have cost a LOT more money if I bought the name brands. I calculated that not using coupons and buying name brands would have cost about $75 – I spent $30! I also left coupons I couldn’t use for other shoppers to find
Everything will be donated to Kids House Seminole.
I coupon for good by each month donating items to my church. Every Thursday night they have a community meal. I donate all sorts of things beacuse my church gives to the people from the community that come. Along with getting a meal they also can pick up items that they need that they cannot afford.
Another couponing for good I have done with the recent outbreak of tonadoes in Kentucky I pretty much cleaned out my stock pile and donated the stuff to the tonatoe victims.
I also have donated to the Isiah House. Things like deo, soap, shampoo, clothes, sheets, laundry detergent, tooth brushes and toothpastes.
I try to help people out when I can. I LOVE Couponing for Good. I do not keep up with all the breakdowns I just enjoy helping others when I can.
Thanks for sharing, ladies! All three of you are winners because of it!
The giveaway is now closed, but folks can feel free to keep sharing their Couponing for Good efforts!
