I recently had the chance to try the New Lean Cuisine Salad Additions. As a Bzz Agent I get coupons and product samples from time to time so I can try new products, and share the coupons with my friends and readers.
You can see pictures from my review over on The Coupon Snob Tumblr Page.

I tried two different versions of the Lean Cuisine Salad Additions, because Kroger was running a sale on them and had a Catalina deal to boot! I bought 2 Salad Additions kits for $6 (before using my coupons), and a bag of Kroger lettuce mix, and ended up getting $3 back. That’s a good way to start a review!
I tried the Cranberry Chicken salad addition first.
The whole concept of the Lean Cuisine Salad Additions is that you only need your own lettuce, and their kit provides the rest to make a tasty lunch.
I agree that the salad additions were a great…salad addition!
The kit contained a meat and veggie pack that you heat in the microwave, a dressing pack you thaw in a glass of water, and a crunchy toppings pack, too.
Here’s a before and after:

I loved the crunchy toppings packet, and the dressing was a very nice vinaigrette.
My only issue was with the heated packed of chicken and veggies. I posted on the Lean Cuisine Facebook wall that I liked the new kits, but that I wish they had a “cold” version, because I would have preferred crisp, cold veggies and cold, cooked chicken breasts instead of the heated ones.
They were really easy to prep though, and it definitely took the taste factor up a notch on my boring lettuce mix. Very satisfying, too.
I also tried the Asian-Style Chicken.
For that kit I cooked the veggie and meat packet and let it cool in a bowl for a while, and I liked that better. The dressing was a tasty Asian-inspired one, and the veggie mix was very nice with some sweet pineapple tidbits, too.
Overall I would say that these were a very nice lunch treat! I am a big fan of Lean Cuisine meals, and LOVE their Delicious Rewards program. Oh, and you get DOUBLE DELICIOUS REWARDS POINTS WITH THE SALAD ADDITIONS! My only sadness was that I threw my boxes away and forgot to remove the codes. *sniff*
You can check out the Lean Cuisine Facebook page for more info about the new Salad Additions, but they get my seal of approval for sure!
