ibotta announced some developments recently that will make their redemption process much easier!

Piggy Wiggly Midwest stores are the first to benefit from the new ibotta change.

Right now you have to complete ibotta actions, shop for the required item and then scan your store receipt and product UPC codes in order to redeem the mobile coupon and get your cash back savings. The Piggy Wiggly Midwest announcement is a move toward verifying purchases using just your store loyalty card. This means you won’t have to save your receipt or scan the product!

I love it when a process is made simpler!

One of the great things about ibotta is that they are willing to do what they can to not only make connections with your favorite brands to offer mobile coupons for their products, but to also make connections with your favorite stores to allow mobile coupons to work there.

I’ll be sharing an article in the next few days about ways you can encourage your favorite stores and brands to work with ibotta to help you save even more!

I’m excited about this, and hope all their stores adopt this redemption process!

ibotta is a coupon app for Apple and Android devices that lets you accumulate savings in an account that can be cashed out a variety of ways. Click here to read more about ibotta in my in-depth article. It’s part of my series about understanding online coupon sites!
